Interior Design Program Wins NKBA Excellence in Education Award Southern Miss Interior Design Faculty member, Michelle Rose, explains that this award was made possible due to the hard work and winning attitudes of her Fall 2008 (ID 342) Residential II students! The NKBA award is a prestigious and honorable award for the demonstration of outstanding student work and was based on the student work submitted from the Residential Design II course for the 2008-2009 academic year. Marie Scaffidi Elected ASID Student Representative to the Board Southern Miss Interior Design Program student and NKBA President Elect, Marie Scaffidi has been elected to serve as the 2009-2010 Student Representative to the Board for the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) South Central Chapter.

Elizabeth Jones Elected MCIDL Student Representative to the Board Southern Miss Interior Design Program student and ASID Student Chapter President Elect, Elizabeth Jones has been elected to serve as the 2009-2010 Student Representative to the Board for the Mississippi Coalition for Interior Design Legislation (MCIDL).

DeltaCON 2009 DeltaCON 2009 will take place Thursday evening, October 15 and Friday, October 16, 2009, at the Jackson Convention Complex (105 East Pascagoula Street, Jackson, MS 39201). Thursday evening will feature a Cocktail Party at the Old Capitol Inn (226 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39201) in downtown Jackson; and Friday will feature our first DeltaCON exhibitor tradeshow as well as ten (10) unique continuing education (CEU) opportunities. Lunch will be available on Friday at the DeltaCON café that will be located within the tradeshow space. Registration Form.

ID Student Notebook Computer Requirements Designated courses require that students provide a notebook computer with specific requirements. See requirements.

IDSA Student Organization Meeting The Southern Miss Interior Design Student Association (IDSA) holds regular meetings at the Interior Design Studio! This includes IDSA, ASID, and NKBA.
